Granted to UPEI engineering students who have completed the third year of the engineering program with the highest standing and intend to continue in the program. One scholarship will be granted to a woman and one to a man.

Background:
These awards were established by Strait Crossing Bridge Limited to assist two deserving students annually who were studying engineering at the University of Prince Edward Island and intended to complete their studies in mechanical or civil engineering. In 2020, Strait Crossing Bridge Limited agreed to revise the criteria for these awards to support two students who intend to graduate from UPEI with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Design Engineering. The intent of these awards is to ensure that hardworking, talented students may attain their educational goals.
