Criteria:
Awarded to third- and fourth-year Business students who are specializing in Accounting and intending to go into the Chartered Accounting Profession. Students with financial need and an agricultural background will be given preference. Applicants must be in good academic standing.

Background:
A 1987 graduate of UPEI's School of Business Administration, Tony Van Rooyen, established this bursary as a tribute to the memory of his father, William Van Rooyen Sr., and to ensure that students facing financial challenges are given the opportunity to complete their university education. Mr. Van Rooyen is a Chartered Accountant and currently resides in Vancouver, BC.
