Background:
Mr. Douglas was a WWII veteran and a 26 year employee with the Department of National Revenue before enjoying 34 years of retirement. He and his wife, Kay, were members of the Belvedere Golf and Country Club for 50 years. He was also a curler. They wintered in Florida and golfed there every day. Mr. Douglas planned a gift in his estate to establish an award at UPEI.
