They raised three children (Cathy, Peter, and Steven) who are all members of the UPE1 alumni family. The Lawlor family is best known for founding DeltaWare Systems Inc., a highly successful information technology company in PEI. The Lawlors have received considerable recognition for their business and community involvement and continue to this day to be active volunteers on numerous boards and foundations.
