Roderick Stirling MacDonald Scholarships for the School of Applied Climate Change and Adaptation (Returning)
School of Climate Change and Adaptation
Criteria:
Awarded to five (5) students entering their third year of UPEI's School of Climate Change and Adaptation. Third year students must have achieved an 80% or greater academic average in the previous year of study and demonstrated a passion for improving the effects of climate change in their personal statement.

Background:
In December 2017, UPEI received a $1,000,000 gift from the Estate of H. Ruth MacDonald. She remembered UPEI through a planned gift in her Will in memory of her husband Roderick. The significant contribution she provided will create many scholarships and impact numerous students, assisting in imparting them with skills that will enhance our local and global communities. Including an additional gift received in the summer of 2019, over $1,200,000 will support academically gift undergraduate and graduate students at UPEI.
