Criteria:
Granted on an annual basis to a student entering the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) who is normally a resident in the Atlantic Provinces and has a demonstrated interest and experience with horses. Preference will be given to students focused on the horse racing industry. If there are two or more equally qualifying candidates, preference will be given to a student who is normally resident in Prince Edward Island.

The Atlantic Veterinary College, in consultation with the anonymous donors, decided to designate the donors' general unrestricted support to establish two new awards for AVC students.
